agencymobile plays a trump card for Nokia

We’ve just released 3 new mobile applications for Nokia Connections to promote their new N-series handsets with our friends at Workclub.
Combining traditional street magic techniques with clever mobile trickery we’ve built two Flash Lite applications and a native Symbian application which allows the demonstrator to literally perform some of the coolest magic card tricks to confound and confuse the audience! We can’t say too much more yet, but come back soon and we’ll have some demos here to show these in action. The idea is to engage the audience with some of the powerful new multimedia and content features available on these new handsets (including Flash Lite 3) and tempt them to upgrade their existing handset in the process.

Mobank appoints agencymobile as mobile development partner

Mobank has appointed us as their retained development partner for the roll-out of the Mobank application . We will be developing across all major mobile platforms including Java, Symbian S60, Adobe Flash Lite, WAP and Apple iPhone. We’ve been working with Mobank (from the management team behind the launch of Egg, the UK’s first internet bank) since they started providing proof of concept for investors, user interface development and distribution strategy.
This next phase, backed by first round private investment, sees the Mobank partnership with agencymobile go to the next level, with both companies working together closely to deliver industry firsts on the distribution of rich, branded mobile content linked to mobile payment, within an intuitive user interface. We have invented a number of unique techniques for repurposing partner content into all the different platforms for the mobile application meaning that the application’s content can be updated through one central source.

agencymobile build handset application for Sony Ericsson as part of Cybershot campaign

Through advertising agency partner Iris London Ltd. part of the Iris group, agencymobile conceived the strategy for and built a J2ME handset application as part of Sony Ericsson UK’s Cybershot promotion campaign, entitled The Search.
A photographic competition, run with partners Heat and FHM, to find the best cameraphone photographer of the year, focussed around a unique website, built by Iris Digital, which allows users to upload their own pictures, responding to regularly updated photographic ‘briefs’. The website sniffed the images to check they were actually real cameraphone images by checking the actual image file itself for identifying technical information. Images could also be sent in via MMS . The third method was our J2ME application which we built so that it hooked into the central website directly, so all images come into the site in the same format.
Using the handset application meant users could be out and about with their cameraphones, take images , read briefs and upload images directly to the site from the mobile application. Our application hooked directly into Sony Ericsson’s central user database for efficiency and to enable all entries to go through a standard route. The campaign was a success and the J2ME application was distributed via sonyericsson.com and the leading Java community sites.
