Game , Set and Match for Sony Ericsson

Agencymobile have just come back from Doha in Qatar, having successfully delivered the pilot for Sony Ericsson’s Mobile Event Guide for their sponsorship of the WTA Tennis . Working with our friends from Iris Experience and Iris Sponsorship we proposed the use of Agencymobile’s MobiVenta events platform which is a complete mobile event guide platform providing brands with a turnkey solution to enabling events via mobile through a combination of a mobile application and Bluetooth.

The Mobile Event Guide provided live match information to spectators who downloaded our mobile application via Bluetooth when they enterered the venue. We also provided daily news stories and images from the WTA and Sony Ericsson , including daily video content as well. Our Mobiventa platform was optimised for this event to cater for a wide range of handsets from all manufacturers . The response rate was the highest for any Sony Ericsson event and the press coverage was very positive highlighting SE’s use of innovative technology to breathe new life into the sports event market.

The platform is multi-lingual and we provided a special version for the officials and players that used the new Adobe Flash / Java bridge technology from Sony Ericsson - Project Capuchin. The Mobile Event guide was the first commercial Capuchin application released by Sony Ericsson.
