We have been lucky enough to have three App Store number ones in the last few months including MoBank, YourReebok and TentFinder. Clearly, if you want to build a mobile application that does the numbers,  come and talk to us.

The MoBank application we designed and built for our friends at MoBank has shot up to become the number one application in Finance on the App Store, after two weeks of release. This is good news and the guys will be refinining the application with updates over the next few weeks. The application is also Featured on iTunes which is also good news.

This has been acheived due to the outstanding amount of downloads since launch and tremendous feedback from the Apple community.

Your Reebok is the world’s first iPhone app that allows users to customize their shoes. Your Reebok launched initially in the U.S. and the U.K. The service is now live in Germany, France, Belgium, Netherland, and Ireland.

Agencymobile are running a seminar at Wireless & Mobile’09 on 21st May 2009. We’re in the Mobile Business: Application Development theatre and our session is “UI design for touch screen Smartphones”.  It should be an interesting topic and we’ll be looking at the various touch platforms and how they are driving the need for handset manufacturers and content providers to change the way they fundamentally think.

The boys came up with the idea for a secret mobile spy cam that takes secret pictures with your C902 phone camera and sends them by email to an address of your choice.

Other ideas that made to the device before it came out of the box were some dynamic screensavers localised in 22 languages and an X-Ray application that scans your hand. It scared the Living Daylights out of us when we first saw it.

On a more serious note,this was a major global launch for Sony Ericsson and involves us liasing with multiple advertising and digital agencies and the customisation teams to get the content built,tested and installed across 22 market units.

The inaugural Mobile Application Developer Garage promises to be one of the hottest tickets at this year’s GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Its aim is to bring participants from across the mobile development value chain into one place to learn, share and develop new and innovative ideas to drive the user experience forward.

Taking place on the first day of MWC (February 16 2009), the 6-hour event will have attendees continually engaged with a variety of delivery formats including Keynotes, discussions and presentations.

We got a little mention in this week’s Design Week for our conceptual work for the Mobank user interface design. Pete & Tom came up with the overall branding and we collaborated with them to update our existing UI design to reflect the new look and feel.  It looks much fresher and our iPhone development works it well with smooth motion graphics incorporated into the native application.

Agencymobile have just come back from Doha in Qatar, having successfully delivered the pilot for Sony Ericsson’s Mobile Event Guide for their sponsorship of the WTA Tennis . Working with our friends from Iris Experience and Iris Sponsorship we proposed the use of Agencymobile’s MobiVenta events platform which is a complete mobile event guide platform providing brands with a turnkey solution to enabling events via mobile through a combination of a mobile application and Bluetooth.

The Mobile Event Guide provided live match information to spectators who downloaded our mobile application via Bluetooth when they enterered the venue. We also provided daily news stories and images from the WTA and Sony Ericsson , including daily video content as well. Our Mobiventa platform was optimised for this event to cater for a wide range of handsets from all manufacturers . The response rate was the highest for any Sony Ericsson event and the press coverage was very positive highlighting SE’s use of innovative technology to breathe new life into the sports event market.

The platform is multi-lingual and we provided a special version for the officials and players that used the new Adobe Flash / Java bridge technology from Sony Ericsson - Project Capuchin. The Mobile Event guide was the first commercial Capuchin application released by Sony Ericsson.

Combining traditional street magic techniques with clever mobile trickery we’ve built two Flash Lite applications and a native Symbian application which allows the demonstrator to literally perform some of the coolest magic card tricks to confound and confuse the audience! We can’t say too much more yet, but come back soon and we’ll have some demos here to show these in action. The idea is to engage the audience with some of the powerful new multimedia and content features available on these new handsets (including Flash Lite 3) and tempt them to upgrade their existing handset in the process.

We have been upgraded to Sony Ericsson’s invitation-only, Premier Partner programme for mobile developers. This is great news and gives us access to specialised tools and information as well as the ability to work on bigger and better applications and games for the Swedish handset manufacturer.
